Chemical & Pharmaceutical team welcomes new Recruitment Consultant, Megan Saunders

Our Chemical and Pharmaceutical Recruitment team is growing, and we’re thrilled to introduce Megan Saunders as our latest addition to the London-based E3R team. Megan comes on board as a Recruitment Consultant, joining forces with James Travis and Richard Steadman to bring even more expertise and innovation to our team.

With a wealth of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device recruitment, Megan’s knowledge is set to elevate our division’s services and opportunities to new heights. We couldn’t be happier to welcome her to our team and eagerly anticipate her contributions.

Can you give us some background on your career and what led to you joining E3 Recruitment?

After graduating back in 2021, I found myself within the scientific recruitment sector, working on roles which spanned the whole way through the drug cycle from discovery to manufacturing. Knowing that recruitment and helping people is what I love to do, this brought me face-to-face with the opportunity to join E3 Recruitment where I can use my experience in the industry and sector to help those within the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries.

Tell us about your role and responsibilities in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical team

Within the Chemical and Pharmaceutical team at E3R, I am tasked with the whole recruitment process from helping candidates find the right job for themselves, whether this being from the shop floor right through to the back office roles such as within the finance team.

This goes hand in hand with helping leading or up-and-coming Chemical or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing companies recruit and grow their teams by offering expertise within the industry and market and taking the recruitment mission off of their hands.

How has your first month been at E3 Recruitment?

I am thoroughly enjoying my time at E3 Recruitment in the short time I have been here. The management style and support I have received has been perfect, and noticeably different in a positive way compared to what I have been used to. I am excited to learn more, grow within the company and for what the future of E3R has to offer!

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I’d describe myself as a very caring and outgoing person. When I’m not in the office I’m either riding my horses, cooking (and eating) or spending time with my dogs in the Hertfordshire countryside!

What aspects of your role are you most excited about and what are you looking forward to?

I’m very excited to build new and long-lasting relationships, whether that be with candidates or clients. I’m also very excited for growth and progression within the company – let’s see what 2023 has in store!

What initially attracted you to a career in Recruitment?

Honestly, after graduating from University, I didn’t really know much about recruitment at all, it wasn’t spoken about by my tutors. Having struggled to find a job in my chosen field originally, it dawned on me that I wanted to do something where I could help others and make an impact on the world, and recruitment – especially within the Pharmaceutical sector, definitely does!

What would you say to anyone looking to start their career in recruitment and why?

If you’re someone who loves to work hard and be rewarded for that hard work (whether financially or by sense of achievement – or both) this is the industry for you! Don’t get me wrong, it can be tough at times but so can everything else (that’s life), this way you just get bigger and better rewards at the end of it!
