The Roles Available
E3 Recruitment is managing applications for the following positions, all based at Winder Power’s Leeds site on a permanent, full-time basis.
Mechanical Fitter
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and preparing HV and LV winding systems, working with insulation materials, and carrying out copper jointing activities including soldering, brazing, and crimping. You will work directly from engineering drawings and production documentation, ensuring all assemblies meet the precise specifications required for transformer manufacturing.
Previous experience in electrical or mechanical assembly is essential, and transformer manufacturing experience is a strong advantage. Apprentice-trained candidates are particularly welcomed.

Electrical Assembler / Panel Wirer
The Electrical Assembler / Panel Wirer role involves the assembly and wiring of electrical panels, instrumentation, and marshalling kiosks used within transformer manufacturing projects. You will install and terminate cables, work from wiring schematics and technical drawings, and play an important part in keeping production running to schedule and specification.
This role suits candidates with a solid background in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or industrial electrical installation. The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings is a core requirement.

Mechanical Assembler
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will focus on the final assembly and fitting of transformer units ahead of testing and dispatch. This includes installing core and winding assemblies into fabricated tanks, fitting ancillary equipment such as radiators, valves, and pipework, and supporting oil filling operations. It is a hands-on, practical role suited to someone with a mechanical fitting or heavy assembly background who is comfortable working from engineering drawings in a specialist manufacturing environment.
Transformer experience is beneficial but not essential. Candidates from heavy engineering or industrial assembly backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
