Mechanical Fitters are required for a well-established engineering manufacturer in Leeds. Offering £18.90 per hour, three-day weekends, 33 days holiday and a 10% pension scheme, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded engineering business.

Due to continued demand across the manufacturing operation, this well-established manufacturer is looking to recruit additional Mechanical Fitters to support transformer assembly operations within a modern production facility. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability, overtime and progression.

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in mechanical fitting, heavy assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environments.

The Mechanical Fitter role will involve:
* Working from production drawings, specifications, and build documentation
* Mechanical assembly of core, clamp, and winding components
* Preparing and positioning winding assemblies for installation
* Ensuring components meet specification and quality standards throughout the build
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

In return, the Mechanical Fitter will receive:
* £32,450 annual salary including shift allowance
* Overtime paid at premium rates
* 33 days holiday
* 10% combined pension contribution
* Paid breaks and additional company benefits

Mechanical Fitter requirements:
* Previous mechanical fitting or assembly experience
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Welding, brazing, or soldering experience would be beneficial
* Crane, slinging, or lifting experience would be advantageous

Working hours for the Mechanical Fitter:
* Week 1: Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 14:00
* Week 2: Monday to Thursday – 12:30 to 22:00

Based in Pudsey, this is commutable from Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, and surrounding areas.
