Get upto Speed with STEM

E3R exhibited at Get upto Speed with STEM, which promotes STEM to young people giving them a platform to speak to businesses, inventors, apprentices and education providers.

The event which was held on Wednesday 18th April at Magna Science Adventure Centre Rotherham, saw 2000 visitors attend to see some of the UK’s most exciting science, technology and engineering inventions, and meet the people who design, build and operate them. Liberty Steel, Doncasters, and Mazak were among some of the companies in attendance sharing with delegates the future of their industries at this showcase event.

Andrew Joseph, Director at E3R who attended the event commented: “To address the skills gap engineering and manufacturing faces, it is more important than ever that we promote our industry to young people, advising them on the opportunities and careers that are open to them. It is also vital we create an interest pre-high school to educate and influence them before they begin studying for their GCSEs.”
