E3R sponsors Make UK’s Regional Awards to celebrates region’s manufacturing and engineering sector

E3 Recruitment (E3R) is proud to be a sponsor of the Make UK Regional Awards for the fifth year running, which recognises the achievements of the UK’s manufacturing and engineering sector at a special event.

This year the Make UK Awards will take place online in response to Covid-19, with the North East, Yorkshire & Humberside taking place on Tuesday 13th October at 4pm to celebrate manufacturing and engineering companies’ successes with an award presentation.

Commenting on the Make UK Awards sponsorship, E3R Director Tracie Norton said: “Like the manufacturing and engineering companies we serve, we have continued to work with them throughout Covid-19, keeping the wheels of industry moving.

“This year more than ever, manufacturers and their employees are going to extraordinary lengths. They are showing resilience, innovation, determination. It is so important that our industry continues to drive forward – adapting to changes – which is why we are proud to be sponsoring the Make UK Regional Awards, as there are still great things happening, with lots to be celebrated, but in a slightly different innovative way this year.”

In attendance will be business leaders, Make UK Award entrants, and their family, friends, and colleagues, as the sectors finest are highlighted, and this year’s winners announced. There will be opportunities to network on the innovative platform the awards are being hosted on, enabling attendees to build new connections, share best practice, and hear from renowned industry leaders.

The awards are divided between Business and Apprentice. Business Categories include: Business Growth and Strategy, Developing Future Talent, Energy & Sustainability, Health and Safety, Innovation, Manufacturing Matters and SME of the year.

Apprentice Categories include: Business Apprentice of the Year – Rising Star, Business Apprentice of the Year – Final Year, Engineering Apprentice of the Year – Rising Star, Engineering Apprentice of the Year – Final Year, and Apprentice Endeavour Award.

Regional shortlisted apprentices are from the following companies: Daikin Applied UK Ltd, Gripple Ltd, David Brown Santasalo, Cleveland Bridge UK Limited, Universal Wolf, Tharsus, The Centre for Process Innovation, and ZF Sunderland.

The evening will include an address from Stephen Phipson, Make UK CEO who will give a manufacturing update on key issues impacting upon the manufacturing sector, as it navigates through the impact of Covid-19 and our transition out of the EU at the end of 2020.

Speaking at the awards is former Dragon on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, Piers Linney, who was the visionary behind the #StartUp and #ScaleUp projects, the award-winning entrepreneur is transforming his influential career, as a serial founder and investor, into implementable advice for aspiring SMEs.
