E3R helps raise thousands of pounds for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice

E3 Recruitment (E3R) has proudly supported Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice ‘Jack Carroll and Friends’ charity evening series and helped raise thousands of pounds for the charity.

Last Friday 26th June was the final instalment of the charity evenings which have run every Friday for the last seven weeks with comedian Jack Carroll interviewing his comedian friends Jason Manford, David Walliams, Frankie Boyle, Joe Lycett, Jon Richardson, and world champion boxer George Gloves; with thousands of viewers and thousands of pounds been raised through tickets sales to watch via live Zoom.

E3R, who has been a charity partner of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice for a year and a half, were able to provide the support required to deliver this online fundraiser by co-organising and supporting the Zoom event for the charity; who was losing more than £7,000 per day due to cancelled fundraising events and charity shops being closed throughout the lockdown.

James Soden, Director at E3R added: “When we heard of the challenges that our charity partner Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice were experiencing, there was no doubt that we had to make available our resource and expertise. Arranging and setting up the Zooms was the perfect fit for us, as being recruiters, we have experience setting up online interviews and hosting meetings. Plus, we were able to promote the events via our channels. It was great to work in partnership with Forget Me Not and deliver some positivity during a very challenging time for all and help raise thousands of pounds for the charity.”

Jack Carroll, who has now become an ambassador of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, commented on the series: “It’s been an honour to have supported Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice with the online series – especially at a time that I know has been so difficult for them. Not only were the events a great laugh, but it was a pleasure to work with Forget Me Not and E3R to raise such a fantastic amount of money.

“Off the back of the series, I’m now immensely proud to become an official ambassador for Forget Me Not. The hospice does amazing work with children and families and I’m really excited about the opportunities going forward to raise more money and awareness for such a great local charity”.

Georgia Lane, Forget Me Not’s Regional Fundraiser said: “The comedy series has been our biggest fundraiser during lockdown. But we simply couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of E3 Recruitment. From when we first reached out for support, E3R have been fantastic in promoting the event and helping it run smoothly every Friday night – they’ve been like an extension of our fundraising team!

“Every penny raised from the series will make a huge difference to the children and families that Forget Me Not support – especially now, when families need us more than ever. So, on behalf of all of us here and of the families we support – thank you!”.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice offers palliative care services to children and young people from across Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield. The support can be provided at home via the hospice’s at home service or at the children’s hospice known as Russell House.
