E3 Recruitment Named Finalist in Prestigious Ready for Business Awards for Best B2B Start-Up in Yorkshire and Humber

One of the finalists in the first-ever Ready For Business Awards 2013 is E3 Recruitment, a recruitment firm based in Huddersfield. This significant recognition is for the company’s outstanding performance as a start-up business. The event, which aims to celebrate and recognise the best start-up businesses in the UK, will take place in London, with entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders from across the country converging to celebrate the essence of enterprise and innovation.

Tracie Norton and Andrew Pilling founded E3 Recruitment last May, and since then, the company has established itself as one of the top engineering, manufacturing, and technical recruitment specialists in the country. The company’s dedication and commitment to delivering high-quality services earned it the Best B2B Start-Up award in the regional category for Yorkshire and Humber, which is a remarkable feat in such a short time.

Six other businesses will compete with E3 Recruitment in the national finals, which will take place at the House of Commons in London on December 2, 2013. The Ready for Business programme aims to provide support and resources for new enterprises throughout England, and the competition is part of this initiative.

A consortium of enterprise agencies, including the National Enterprise Network in the Yorkshire and Humber region, deliver the programme, which is supported by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund and Barclays. Since its launch in the previous summer, the programme has already created over 2,500 new jobs across England, with 387 jobs created in Yorkshire and Humber alone, and aims to create 6,000 businesses with 10,000 new jobs.

E3 Recruitment has been growing its impressive client and candidate database since its opening earlier this year. The company has exceeded its initial estimate for predicted turnover by over five times, a testament to its exceptional performance and dedication to delivering high-quality services to its clients. Tracie Norton expressed her delight at being a finalist in this prestigious competition, emphasising that setting up a new business is not easy but that Ready for Business’s support was invaluable. She sees the recognition of their efforts as a huge achievement and is eagerly looking forward to the national finals.

The Ready for Business Awards recognise achievements in three categories, namely Best Growth Potential Start-Up, Best B2B Start-Up, and Best B2C Start-Up, and E3 Recruitment is competing in the Best B2B Start-Up category. Since its inception in 2012, the Ready for Business programme has established over 2,500 businesses by providing concentrated support in the pre-start stages of new businesses.

Barclays and a consortium of leading enterprise agencies provide support to new enterprises, which includes intensive enterprise training via free Get Ready for Business Seminars, one-on-one help from a dedicated business advisor to explore and assess their business ideas, and expert analysis into developing a business plan. The programme has been designed as a significant initiative to help new enterprises grow and thrive in a highly competitive business environment.
