E3R attend British Prescast Dinner
On 5th July E3R’s Building & Construction Products Team attended the British Precast Annual Dinner 2018 at the Marriott Hotel, Leicester. This prestigious black tie event brought together key players from the UK’s precast concrete industry trade association, including manufacturers, health and safety, sustainability and technical specialists.
It was the first year E3R attended the dinner having become an Associate Member of British Precast at the end of 2017.
The dinner was opened with a welcoming speech by Alan Smith, British Precast’s new president and Precast members achievements were recognised with the Best Practice Awards – 2018 winners included:
• Health & Safety Award Winner – Creagh Concrete Products Ltd, for project ‘General Improvements in Prestressing Operations’.
• Innovation Award winner – H+H Celcon Ltd for project ‘SIG I-House Incorporating Celcon Elements’.
• Sustainability Award Winner – Aggregate Industries UK for project ‘Bug Hotels’.
• Project Award Winner – Techrete UK for project ‘V&A Museum of Design, Dundee’.
James Soden, E3R Director who attended the Precast Dinner commented: “It was a great evening celebrating the achievements of the industry and meeting with Precast members in a relaxed celebratory environment. Some of the dinner guests we already work with, and this provided a great opportunity for us to build on our existing relationships further. The dinner also provided a platform for us to get to know and learn about members we don’t currently work with, and find out what is happening in the precast industry, whilst enjoying the evening’s entertainment.”
