Quality Engineer
Up to £37k on experience
Location: Harrogate

We’re working with one of the UK’s leading manufacturing and assembly companies who have experienced growth of over 500% in the last 6 months, due to their current level of business and their aggressive expansion plans they’re looking to recruit for a newly created role as Quality Engineer to support the current Quality Team on site. A privately-owned business with strong links throughout their industry they are a true trend setter within their sector offering a ground breaking product.

You will be an experienced Quality Engineer with experience of working within the manufacturing sector and ideally degree qualified in a suitable engineering or technical degree. This is a very hands on role and involves a high level of liaison at all levels of the business, you should be used to conducting audits, implementing quality systems and writing/adapting quality manuals. You will be working closely with the Senior Quality Engineer to maintain ISO Standards and should ideally have prior knowledge of auditing and implementing to ISO9000 standards.

The role will offer a high level of autonomy and responsibility to ensure the factory is accountable and relevant requirements are met. You should have experience of reporting and correcting non-conformities, some exposure to APQP is desirable and you should have exposure to continuous improvement activity.

Key requirements for the Quality Engineer role are:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction environment
  • Experience of auditing to ISO Standards (9000, 9001)
  • Hands on experience of implementing and maintaining quality standards from shop floor to board room
  • First class communication and presentation skills
  • Strong experience of Continuous Improvement
  • Ideally have participated in AQP development
