You are invited to apply for the position of Plant Manager offering the opportunity to work with an internationally recognised concrete building products manufacturer with impressive growth plans and an established network of manufacturing facilities across the UK.

With an on-going commitment to people development and continuous investment in manufacturing operations we are now seeking a dynamic and accomplished Plant Manager to pioneer the strategic growth of the plant through the recruitment and development of all plant related infrastructure plans.

The successful applicant will lead a multi-functional team including 2/3 direct and circa 30 indirect reports to achieve key targets across the plant and manufacturing operation, responsible for a site turnover of circa £5m per annum the successful Plant Manager will;

  • Demonstrable managerial experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement techniques, methodologies and process improvements, supported by formal training and practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years operational management experience.
  • Experience of P & L AND Capex justifications and the ability to manage budgets.
  • SHEQ qualification and experience, covering health and safety, environmental issues and quality – Ideally supported with Nebosh or IOSH qualification with further training available for the right individual if required.
  • Experience of implementing change and change management through recruitment, leadership and development.

The role of Plant Manager will encompass all areas of plant management covering production, engineering, health and safety and quality.
