Job Role: Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Tamworth

Salary: £12 – £15 per hour (Over time paid at 1.5)

Days: 7:30 – 16: 15 Monday to Thursday. Early Finish on a Friday

Due to compnay expansion a Multi skileed Maintence Engineer is required for an Automotive company In Tamworth The role is hands on undertaking PPM work, breakdowns and continuous improvement tasks as and when required. This role would suit someone who is used to working within fast paced and demanding work environments and is capable of working under pressure. Alongside a competitive salary, they are able to offer an attractive shift pattern, rotating mornings and afternoons.

The Job:

  • Machine maintenance both reactive & PM’s – electrical. pneumatic & hydraulic
  • Attend reactive breakdowns, assessing problems in a timely & safely manner
  • ensuring the breakdown is rectified in a demanding environment
  • Carry out Continuous Improvement duties on machinery when required
  • Undertake both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance
  • Hand tool repair i.e routers, extruders, jigsaws
  • Site maintenance i.e lighting, toilets, doors etc.etc.
  • Assist Insurance inspections and repairs as necessary
  • Vehicle & forklift checks/ small repair

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • It would be advantageous if candidates have come from Automotive manufacturing background or something similar.
  • Recognised qualification within either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Must be multi-disciplined and have a good ability of undertaking both Mechanical & Electrical maintenance task
  • Flexible to working through breaks and longer hours than stated if a mechanical breakdown needs urgent attention
