Are you a skilled MIG Welder looking for more than just repetitive production work? This is an opportunity to join a well-established specialist manufacturer in Huddersfield where your skills are genuinely valued, and no two days are the same.

This is a hands-on MIG Welder role, working on a wide variety of projects including new body fabrication, vehicle refurbishments, chassis modifications and crane fitting work.

Key Responsibilities of the MIG Welder

  • Fabrication and assembly of heavy vehicle components and bespoke body structures
  • MIG welding heavy plate materials up to 15mm in multiple positions
  • Chassis alterations and modification work
  • Refurbishment and repair of existing vehicle bodies
  • Checking dimensions and alignment throughout the build process
  • Supporting production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of finish

Skills & Experience Required for the MIG Welder role

  • Strong MIG welder skills with experience in heavy fabrication
  • Experience working with commercial or heavy vehicles would be advantageous
  • Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised approach with good attention to detail
