Looking for an engineering maintenance leadership role where your focus will be on planned maintenance and projects, instead of consistently firefighting? This Maintenance Manager role is at a well invested food manufacturing site with a business producing market leading branded and retail label products.

The site is commutable from Nottingham, Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving performance through the ongoing coaching and development of your team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing effective planned maintenance strategies to improve reliability and engineering performance.
  • Ensuring the team responds quickly to unexpected breakdowns, working closely with production to minimise downtime.
  • Driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis and encouraging your team to look for new, more effective ways of working.
  • Supporting capital projects, CI initiatives, installations, and other initiatives.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.

About You

  • An electrically biased engineer with experience of managing maintenance teams in food manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop a team through coaching and mentoring.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance, and improving Health & Safety.
  • A team player, able to collaborate with colleagues in production to deliver business objectives.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, able to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
