Maintenance Engineer (Plumber)
Annual Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours a week)
12 Month (FTC) with the possibility of becoming permanent

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Plumber) to join the facilities maintenance team at a leading global company that specialises in mechanical solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to provide reliable, safe, and efficient plumbing maintenance support within a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on water supply, drainage, air pipework, and wastewater systems
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and failures in pipework, valves, and fixtures
- Maintain and repair floor drains, grease traps, sumps, and foul water systems
- Install and modify pipework (plastic, copper, steel) as required
- Support minor industrial plumbing systems and assist with air pipework connections
- Conduct routine inspections and assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Ensure compliance with water hygiene standards and relevant plumbing regulations
- Work collaboratively with electricians, fitters, and other maintenance personnel
- Participate in emergency call-out response when necessary
What We’re Looking For:
- Recognised plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; NVQ Level 2/City & Guilds considered)
- Experience in domestic plumbing with exposure to light industrial or commercial environments
- Understanding of water supply, drainage, sanitary pipework, air pipework, and evaporative cooling towers (desirable)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read basic drawings and maintenance instructions
- Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
