We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients manufacturing facility based near Burton on Trent.

This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role offers a fantastic salary of £46,250 per annum, working on a Dupont-style shift pattern, which is 2 Days,1 off, 2 nights,4 off,4 days,1 off,3 nights,4 off with start and finish times being 6 am or 6 pm respectively.

What’s the role about?
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
You’ll undertake a variety of engineering tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. You’ll work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic and pneumatic and will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. You’ll also contribute to the overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets.

What are the skills required for this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position?

  • Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Mechanical Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical engineering to include fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
  • Good understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety issues, and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Experience of working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a production environment
