The site is easily commutable from Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley, Goole, and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

Based at a large, chilled foods manufacturer, you will be part of a multiskilled engineering team responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and disruptions to production.
  • Ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out to a high standard.
  • Proactively looking for long-term engineering solutions to recurring issues, with a strong focus on continuous improvement,
  • Working closely with production teams to improve reliability.

About You:

We’re looking for an apprentice trained engineer, either electrically or mechanically biased, with the following background:

  • Experience of working in an engineering maintenance role in a food, drink, or FMCG production environment.
  • A proactive approach, looking for new
  • A team player, willing to share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the team.
  • PLC fault-finding skills (for electrically biased engineers).
  • 18th Edition certification would be an advantage.
