LGV Driver

Join a well-established building product manufacturer as an LGV Driver. As a market leader in their field, they are looking for an LGV Driver who will be an asset to their team, be an effective and proactive team member and work towards company expectations and targets. Site location : Castleford area, commutable from Normanton, Featherstone, Wakefield, Pontefract, Rothwell, Garforth, Hemsworth, Knottingley, Ossett, Morley, Dewsbury, Leeds

What’s in it for you as an LGV Driver?

• Circa £43,900.
• Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x to 2.0x, depending on workload and working times.

Requirements as an LGV/HGV Driver;

• Valid C+E (Class 1 HGV/LGV) driving licence – essential.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety checks, load security and safe systems of work.
• Reliable, self-motivated and safety-conscious with good communication skills.

Roles and responsibilities of an LGV Driver;

• Safely operate LGV/HGV vehicles in accordance with company procedures and road traffic legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with site and transport teams to ensure efficient loading and delivery schedules.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to all health & safety procedures.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, safe and in good working condition.

This LGV Driver position would suit an experienced HGV Driver, Class 1 Driver, C+E Driver, LGV Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent overtime potential.
