We are currently working in partnership with a successful and expanding Food Manufacturer and we are looking to recruit an experience Laboratory Technician to actively support the normal operations of the business.

This well-established organisation is renowned for constantly working in partnership with local communities and suppliers in the UK. This Food Manufacturer are always looking to better themselves and grow with the times, they have recently invested in many new ways of working to improve the site and drive the department forward, another advantage of working with this organisation is that they offer an impressive benefits package.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine chemical analysis of food products as part of a flexible team of technicians working to UKAS standards.
  • Calibration and Maintenance of instruments and equipment according to laid down schedules.
  • Planning of individual work and evaluation of results.
  • Assist in the development of new methods and improvements to existing methods.
  • Comply with Laboratory rules and carry out work according to documented test methods.
  • Awareness of potential problems that could compromise the validity of data produced by the laboratory.
  • Carry out testing in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Care of Laboratory instruments to minimize downtime and repair costs.

To Be Successful:

  • You Must hold a Science Degree or A levels with some lab experience.
  • Experience working in an analytical environment is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Have the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and reliability
  • As a Laboratory Technician you need to have the ability to meet deadlines
