We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer paying £49,600, to join a market-leading international manufacturing organisation with impressive growth plans based in the Birtley area of Chester-le-Street.

  • Base Salary with shift premium at £49,600 per annum, incl shift premium, overtime available at x 1.5 and x 2 to further enhance earnings

  • Hours: Days and Nights, 6 am to 6 pm, 6 pm to 6 am, 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off shift pattern.

Position Overview or Maintenance Electrician

  • The role will be working as part of the Maintenance Team providing ‘Hands-on’ Electrical Technical support to both Production and other internal functions throughout the Factory.
  • Providing plant wide electrical maintenance service, departmental support and repairs on a wide range of machinery ensuring that all production targets are maintained.
  • Within the position as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will have the opportunity to be involved with a wide of range of maintenance operations and projects, which will be supported with a wide range of training opportunities, including accredited training programs.

Experience and Qualification Required for Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or level 3 qualification – NVQ and BTEC, with City and Guilds etc – Must be Electrical Engineering Qualifications to Level 3
  • Motor, Drive, safety circuit and PLC system experience would be a distinct advantage
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment undertaking PPM and TPM activities
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
  • Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to electrical machinery problems.
