We’re looking for a proactive Buyer to join a busy and growing manufacturing business, supporting the Senior Buyer in delivering efficient and cost-effective procurement across a range of capital projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with suppliers, managing orders end-to-end, and playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly.

Location: Huddersfield (Office-based)

Salary: £35000 – £40,000 + bonus

The Role

  • Managing purchase orders from requisition through to delivery
  • Expediting orders and managing delivery schedules
  • Negotiating with suppliers to achieve best value and cost savings
  • Maintaining accurate data within the ERP system
  • Monitoring supplier performance and supporting KPI reporting
  • Working closely with production, stores and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow
  • Supporting stock control and inventory management

About You

  • Experience in a Buyer or procurement role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems and stock control processes
  • Confident using Excel and working with data
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
