£18 – £23 hour DOE + Overtime Available 39 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm Permanent Role , Uniform Provided Growing Business

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Auto Electrician to join a growing specialist vehicle engineering business in the Lancashire region.

This is a varied, hands-on role working on the build on new specialist vehicles, You will be involved in both new vehicle builds and repair work within a busy workshop and production environment.

As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing wiring looms, lighting systems and electrical components on commercial vehicles
  • Fitting and connecting bin lift controls, CANbus systems, reverse cameras, beacons, warning lights and sensors
  • Carrying out diagnostics, fault finding and repairs using multimeters and diagnostic equipment
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, technical drawings and build specifications Supporting vehicle build projects and refurbishment work within the workshop
  • Working closely with mechanical fitters, bodybuilders and quality teams to ensure smooth production flow
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety procedures.

We would welcome people to apply for the Auto Electrician role that have:

  • Previous experience as an Auto Electrician, Electrical Fitter or Vehicle Electrician
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, specialist vehicles or plant equipment
  • Fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • The ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and technical drawings
  • Experience with 12V / 24V electrical systems and CANbus systems would be beneficial
  • A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
