An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Semi Skilled Mechanic to join a growing company operating from a modern workshop in Heckmondwike. This is a great opportunity to build a career within the automotive industry without any formal qualifications

The semi skilled mechanic role will involve dismantling LCV and commercial vehicles, removing previously installed vehicle modifications, equipment and components using a range of hand and power tools.

This semi skilled mechanic position would be ideal for someone with experience as a Vehicle Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Fitter or Breakers Yard / Salvage Yard Operative. We would also be keen to hear from apprentice-trained or semi-skilled HGV Fitters, PCV Fitters, Hydraulic Engineers or Mechanical Fitters.

The successful Semi Skilled Mechanic will have experience with:

  • Mechanical fitting or working with Vehicles in some capacity
  • May have experience working in a breakers yard or salvage yard – removing vehicle parts using hand and power tools
  • Confident with hand and powers
  • Full training will be given
