Machine Operative

CNC Machine Operative, £27,000, Perm contract, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a CNC Machine Operative to join an established and growing vehicle engineering and conversion business based in Cleckheaton.

This is a machine operative position rather than a CNC programming role, so candidates do not need programming experience.

As a CNC Machine Operative, you will be responsible for:

• CNC Laser Cutting machinery
• CNC Router machinery
• Loading and unloading materials
• Operating machines
• Monitoring machines throughout the cutting process
• Checking finished components
• Carrying out basic quality checks
• Ensuring components are produced accurately and to the required standard
• Keeping the machine and surrounding work area clean and organised
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

The CNC Machine Operative may have experience as:

• CNC Machine Operator
• CNC Laser Operator
• Laser Cutting Machine Operator
• CNC Router Operator
• Machine Operator
• Manufacturing Operative with CNC experience

CNC programming experience is not required. The position is focused purely on operating the CNC Laser and CNC Router using existing programmes.

Candidates should be comfortable working within a manufacturing or engineering environment and have good attention to detail.
