Assembly Technician required to join a leading global manufacturer based in Ellesmere Port on a permanent basis. This is a varied, hands-on opportunity offering genuine training and development, with the chance to work both in the workshop and on customer sites.

Core Purpose of the Assembly Technician:
The Assembly Technician will support the production and testing of hydraulic and pneumatic hose products, ensuring completed work meets customer, quality and safety requirements. The role will also support continuous improvement and housekeeping standards across the production area.

Key Accountabilities of the Assembly Technician:

  • Assemble, repair and test hydraulic and pneumatic hoses.
  • Carry out testing at customer sites when required and complete test reports.
  • Operate hose cutters, laser engraving and other production machinery.
  • Use basic power tools and carry out associated production tasks.
  • Maintain accurate hose records and database information.
  • Follow company H&S and quality procedures.
  • Support 5S, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

Key Experience Required for the Assembly Technician:

  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Hose assembly, manufacture or testing experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Good understanding of health and safety and quality procedures.
  • Able to work on own initiative and without constant supervision.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and qualifications.

Working Hours – Assembly Technician:

  • 39 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
