This Production Manager role offers the opportunity to spearhead significant transformation, adding real value to a site and organisation. Additionally, we are looking for a candidate that in time has the potential to progress into a Site Leader position, with support and development provided by the company.

This Production Manager position is with a world-leading chemical manufacturer, looking to add to their experienced and dynamic team on their COMAH-regulated site in the South Yorkshire area.

Salary and Benefits of the Production Manager

  • Annual Salary of £70,000-£75,000
  • Annual Bonus up to 7.5%
  • Up to 14% Employer Pension Contribution
  • Death in Service (4 X Salary)

Key Responsibilities as the Production Manager:

  • Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and logistics, identifying opportunities to optimise processes, waste and inventory.
  • Being the fulcrum between business and site strategy, communicating and leading effectively across multifunctional teams.
  • Supporting EHS in controlling risks associated with operating a COMAH chemical manufacturing site.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, HSE and other manufacturing disciplines.
  • Reviewing and managing manufacturing performance, ensuring delivery of manufacturing plans.

Essential Skills and Experience Needed of the Production Manager

  • Ideally a degree, HND or HNC in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry etc).
  • Experience working on a COMAH site is preferred, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques would be ideal, such as Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen.
  • Ideally some experience of delivering change or transformation within a manufacturing or complex production environment would put candidate’s at an advantage.
