£15 – £18 an hr (DOE), working Monday to Friday Early (days, no shifts). Overtime being paid at 1.5. The working environment is clean and organised.

Location Near Birstall, easily reached from the M62 Corridor (Leeds to Huddersfield)

The position offers the opportunity to work for a company that provides excellent training and working conditions.

We would be very keen to speak to people who have worked as Apprentice trained or Semi Skilled Fitters that have worked with, plant machinery, vehicles or HGV or PSV fitters, Hydraulics engineers, Coach builders, Vehicle Technicians etc

The Mechanical Fitter role:

  • Fitting of mechanical installations incorporating hydraulic/pneumatic components to new vehicles. (Full training given as the work is bespoke in nature)
  • The work is varied and interesting a training will give due to the bespoke nature of the work.
  • Mounting products to vehicles in accordance with build instructions
  • Ensuring all products meet all necessary quality requirements
  • Maintaining all necessary documents and records required by the company quality systems
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
  • Reporting any defects and quality issues immediately to production supervisor/quality engineer
  • Adherence to company health and safety procedures

. The role is varied and you would be required to read basic engineering drawings as well as work with your initiative
