We are looking for motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join a team based in Batley. This Manufacturing Technician role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their career who is keen to gain practical experience in a manufacturing and R&D environment, or who can bring experience from a similar setting. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support production activities, assist with equipment preparation, and help maintain organised and safe workspace. This is role is a temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent dependent on performance!

Roles & Responsibilities of Manufacturing Technician:

  • Assemble robotic systems and sub-assemblies.

  • Complete mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and PCB component installation.

  • Support prototype builds, testing, and production activities.

  • Prepare parts, tools, and materials for assembly.

  • Follow assembly instructions and maintain build records.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of production processes.

  • Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements

Qualifications & Experience Required from Manufacturing Technician:

  • An interest or some exposure to manufacturing, production, or workshop environments and be keen to learn and follow instructions accurately.
  • Be practical, reliable, and well organised, with good attention to detail and a positive attitude toward hands-on work.
  • Experience with hand tools, workshop equipment, mechanical or electrical systems, or site-based work is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Soldering experience is desirable but not essential.
