We are currently seeking an FLT Driver / Warehouse Operator to join a busy and established site in Huddersfield, working day shifts with a pay rate of £14.50 per hour. This opportunity would suit a practical, hands-on individual who enjoys a varied role combining forklift operation with general warehouse responsibilities in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Operating across both warehouse and production areas, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, supporting daily operations, and ensuring goods are handled, stored, and dispatched in accordance with site procedures. The role offers a 50/50 split between FLT duties and general warehouse/labouring tasks, providing a varied and active workload.

Roles and Responsibilities for Warehouse Operator :

  • Safely operate a Counterbalance FLT to move, load, and unload materials across site
  • Transport pallets and goods between warehouse and production areas
  • Label IBCs, small drums, and pail containers accurately
  • Carry out general warehouse and labouring duties as required (50/50 split)
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries in line with site procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations at all times
  • Support stock control and basic inventory checks

Experience Required from Warehouse Operator :

  • Previous warehouse or operational experience within a GMP, COMAH, or similarly regulated environment
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in date)
  • Experience handling dangerous goods and an understanding of chemical risk assessments, along with strong personal skills and attributes
