Engineering Buyer for an Oil&Gas supply chain business ideally with experience in the purchasing CNC machined components and materials. The Buyer will also be part of manage the worldwide supply chain and ideally have
Raw material knowledge (Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Duplex, Nickel Alloys).

The Buyer will have strong negotiating, networking, experience of Microsoft Excel and mathematical ability as well as knowledge of sustainability, risk management and ethical issues are highly desirable.

As most of the Company’s revenue is spent on the procurement of raw materials and parts, the candidate has the chance to make a real difference in cost saving and therefore, profits for the business.

Essential Skills Required
A proven track record of MRP management, cost cutting and procurement control
A good understanding of CNC (Milling & Turning)
High competence level of Microsoft Excel
Be methodical and process driven with a modern mindset
A “can do” attitude and be approachable Willingness to assist in problem solving
Full UK Drivers Licence
Able to commute to Brighouse
Highly Desirable Skills
Degree /CIPS qualified or 5+ years in a similar role within the oil & gas industry
3 years management experience
General information
Please Note
The role is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance his/her skills in a rapidly developing business.
Overseas travel may be required as part of this role for supplier visits
Working Hours
38.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 4.45pm – lunch 12.30 to 13.00 (or as required).
Friday: 8.00am – 13.30pm – no lunch
