I recruit within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, focusing on roles like Mechanical Assemblers, Welders, Maintenance Engineers, and Electrical Fitters. It’s a fast-paced environment—and that’s exactly where I thrive. The hustle, the energy, and most importantly, helping people, is what keeps me motivated every day.
What makes me different is my straightforward, honest approach, I’m not overly corporate. Having worked in the trade myself, I know what it takes to succeed in these roles. That hands-on experience gives me insight that goes beyond job specs; I understand what both clients and candidates are really looking for.
One standout moment for me was placing a husband and wife into new roles. It’s not something that happens every day, and it’s always rewarding when you can make a real difference in people’s lives like that.
Clients can expect a thorough, knowledgeable approach. I don’t cut corners, I put in the work to make sure the match is right for both parties. Right now, I’m seeing more businesses lean towards permanent hires over temporary solutions, and with an aging workforce, certain skill sets are becoming harder to find.
I keep my knowledge sharp through our expert marketing team and by staying plugged into the wider goings on in engineering and manufacturing industry. I always try to bring a practical, realistic view of the market, because that’s what delivers results.
Be resilient. The market can be challenging, but those who stick with it, adapt, and stay open-minded always come out stronger. Since starting in recruitment, I’ve been promoted from Recruitment Consultant to Senior Recruitment Consultant. Now, I’m in a position to pass on my experience to others in the team. I’ve developed a deeper understanding of the industry, and it’s been a genuinely rewarding journey.
What I appreciate most at E3R is the autonomy, I run my own desk, and the work I put in gets recognised. The social side is a big bonus too, it’s a solid group of people who know how to have a laugh and support each other. Outside of work, I’m all about spending time with my family and playing rugby.
My motto would be he who dares and the most important thing I’ve learned is stay level-headed. Through the highs and the lows, consistency is everything.
