As a Specialist Consultant in the Automotive & Fleet sector, I focus on vehicle conversions, emergency services vehicle manufacturing, and bus modification projects. With a background in engineering from a young age and having grown up in a family of engineers, I’ve always had a strong connection to this industry. That technical foundation, combined with my experience in teaching, means I’m able to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds and truly understand the skills and personalities that drive success.
I recruit for a variety of roles including Auto Electricians, Coach builders, Workshop Managers, Design Engineers, Mechanical Fitters, Welders, Fabricators, Key Account Managers, and Operations Managers. I take pride in knowing the Automotive & Fleet industry inside out, clients and candidates alike can count on me to understand their market and match the right people to the right roles, not just in terms of skillset but also cultural fit.
One of my standout placements was an Operations Manager role I filled for a local business. It turned out to be their most important hire to date, doubling production and efficiency. Making that kind of impact is exactly why I love recruitment.
The fast-paced nature of the role and being able to support clients and candidates in achieving their goals. Clients who work with me can expect excellent customer service and recruitment solutions that save them time and money by getting it right the first time.
I stay up to date with the market through constant communication with industry leaders, attending specialist trade shows and events, and staying close to key developments through professional bodies. One of the biggest challenges I see right now is the lack of sector-specific apprenticeship schemes, which means thinking outside the box is crucial to overcoming skills shortages.
Since I started at E3R as the only recruiter in the Automotive & Fleet department, I’ve grown the team into four specialists, with more growth to come. I’m proud to say we’ve become leading consultants in this space. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’ve learned that in recruitment, the job is never truly done, there’s always something more you can do to deliver for your clients and candidates.
What I love about working at E3R is the flexibility, autonomy, and collaborative environment, it’s a forward-thinking business with a real family feel. I even get to use the onsite gym at lunchtime, which is a huge positive of working here.
I enjoy watching Chesterfield FC, going for walks, and mountain biking with my kids. If you’re looking for a specialist who truly understands this industry and is passionate about making the right connections, I’d love to have a conversation.
