As a Senior Recruitment Consultant at E3R, I work in the food and drink division, recruiting for mid to senior management roles across operations, engineering, supply chain, NPD, and technical functions.
I love the variety. I’ve recruited for every level, from entry roles right up to director positions, and no two days are ever the same. I enjoy helping companies who are struggling find the right people and supporting individuals looking for their next career move – it’s a win-win when both sides benefit.
My experience. I’ve worked in recruitment for most of my career, both for agencies and in-house, so I understand what it’s like on both sides. That insight gives me a real understanding of internal challenges and helps me work more effectively with clients and candidates.
I used to work with a world-renowned beverage manufacturer, managing engineering recruitment as their sole supplier, which was a great experience and very rewarding.
My background in sales and account management before recruitment helped me develop strong relationship-building skills and a solutions-focused approach.
Dedication, no matter the role. I’m honest and transparent, always providing updates and working in partnership with my clients to find the best solutions.
It’s a great industry with plenty of opportunities, but you need to pick your recruiter carefully – ideally me! Keep control of where your CV is being sent, research the companies you’re applying to, and trust your gut.
There’s a big labour shortage and strong demand for skilled talent. Recent budget changes and rising costs are also putting pressure on businesses, making it harder for them to invest in their teams.
It’s a great group of people – successful and knowledgeable. There’s a real buzz about the office.
I’m a season ticket holder at Huddersfield Town and enjoy all things outdoors – hiking, camping, as well as socialising with family and friends.
I’ve progressed from starting with an empty desk to becoming an experienced recruiter, managing small teams and working in-house managing multiple sites.
When things are going well, don’t get carried away, and when they’re not, don’t be too hard on yourself – stay balanced and keep perspective.
