What industry and specialisms do you focus on?
As a Trainee Consultant, I specialise in roles across the chemical and process industries, most frequently for mechanical maintenance engineers, field service engineers and manufacturing technicians.
What do you enjoy most about working in recruitment?
I enjoy speaking to different people every day. There is always something to do, which keeps the role interesting.
What sets you apart in how you work with clients and candidates?
I always try to put myself in their shoes and understand both sides of the process. I believe it is important to stay kind and professional, even when things are frustrating or not going the way you hoped.
How does your background help you in recruitment?
My background in customer facing roles helped me develop strong communication skills and confidence when speaking to people from all walks of life. That experience has helped me build relationships and communicate effectively with both clients and candidates.
What can clients expect when working with you?
Clients can expect someone who is personable, honest and motivated to achieve and exceed targets. I always aim to build strong relationships and deliver the best possible results.
What advice would you give to someone looking for their next role in your sector?
Do not put all your eggs in one basket. Apply for multiple roles and keep your options open. Also first impressions count in interviews, so preparation and attitude are really important.
What do you enjoy most about being part of E3 Recruitment?
Everyone is welcoming and friendly, which creates a really positive working environment. I also like the freedom to learn, while knowing there is always support available when I need it.

How has your career evolved since you started recruitment?
Over time I have become much more confident speaking to people on the phone and in my understanding of the roles and industries I work in.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned in your career so far?
Not to put yourself down when things do not go your way and to keep pushing forward.
