An established and growing engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join its busy workshop team. This is a hands-on welder role suited to someone with a strong fabrication background, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to workshop operations.
Working closely with the Workshop Manager, you will play a key part in supporting fabrication and vehicle conversion projects, contributing to high-quality workmanship across a range of bespoke builds and manufacturing tasks.
Key Responsibilities for the Welder
- Carry out MIG welding and fabrication work to a high standard.
- Support the manufacture and modification of vehicle bodies and conversions, including specialist builds and bespoke fabrications.
- Fabricate and assemble vehicle-related structures, storage systems, trailers, and associated equipment.
- Complete welding work within a manufacturing environment, primarily using mild steel.
- Assist with additional workshop duties as required to support production demands.
What we’re looking for in our Welder
- Proven experience within welding and fabrication.
- Strong MIG welder
- Experience with aluminium or TIG welding would be advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Skilled in using workshop machinery such as chop saws, guillotines, and related fabrication equipment.
- Ability to maintain and care for workshop tools and welding equipment, including machine setup and adjustment.
