Production Planner

Supplying precision machined components & assemblies to a variety of industries, this company employs over 1000 people across the world, 500 of which are based in the UK. Because of organic growth, they are looking for a Production Planner to permanently join their business.

Based in LEEDS, just a few miles from the M621, the Production Planner can easily accessible from Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wetherby, York and Harrogate.

The Production Planner will be responsible for:

• Accurately generating shopfloor manufacturing document packages for all internally manufactured parts & components
• Transferring appropriate customer information & quality requirements whilst ensuring that manufacturing cycle times are accurately entered for scheduling purposes
• Generating and validating the required details for appropriate materials orders
• Reviewing and updating manufacturing cycle times and methods as part of the companies continuous improvement initiatives

For the Production Planner role, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

• Previous experience working in a similar role (Planning, Scheduling, Coordinating etc.) within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
• Strong IT skills with the ability to pick up new processes and procedures quickly with initial guidance
• Previous experience using ERP systems/software

Working hours of the Production Planner:
37 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift

• Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 16:00
• Friday: 08:30 to 15:30

In return the Production Planner will receive:

• Annual Salary: £30,000.00 (£15.59 per hour)
