Position Overview
Our exclusive client specialise in the manufacture products utilised within the building products industry across the UK. With a network of factories and manufacturing plants we are seeking an experienced production manager to be based at their manufacturing plant in the Bristol area.

The right candidate will require the ability to lead, inspire and develop manufacturing operations through man management skills, whilst ensuring no compromise to quality and health safety procedures. The role will be reporting to the factory manager providing excellent opportunities for personal and career development through training development programmes and sustained investment.

We are looking for an inspirational and engaging Production Manager to lead, motivate and manage a team of multi-skilled production operatives working a 4 on 4 off shift system. The position will be working from 6am to 6pm.

Key responsibilities:
You will be a key member of the Factory Management Team and therefore need to be an experienced production manager (or supervisor) fully versed in the disciplines of continuous improvement and using data analysis and TPM tools and techniques to produce the highest quality products in line with production plans.

To be considered you must:

  • Be a natural coach, able to lead, motivate and develop a talented and multi-skilled team, ensuring they deliver our production targets whilst meeting strict quality and environmental performance standards.
  • Be able to work collaboratively across departments and with other senior managers
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyse data to inform decision making
  • Have the ambition and ability to progress into a senior managerial role
  • Experience in continuous operation production process
  • Experience of acting as practitioner of continuous improvement initiatives related to lean manufacturing and process improvements such as; 5s, TPM, six sigma, WCM etc
