Production Manager

This Production Manager role offers a relocation package, car allowance, double figure pension contribution and annual bonus. The business is a well-established manufacturing organisation, looking for a candidate that wants to add value to the business in the long term and implement real change.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who combines strong operational expertise with a genuine ability to lead people. You’ll be responsible for ensuring manufacturing runs safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, performance and overall site effectiveness.

Working closely with teams across the business, the Production Manager will have an important role in maintaining high operational standards and supporting the site’s continued development.

Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day operations and the smooth running of site activities.
• Lead, manage and develop the Operations team, providing clear direction and practical support.
• Ensure operations activities are delivered efficiently and with effective cost control.
• Take the lead on resolving manufacturing and engineering issues, including the coordination of unusual or non-standard operations.
• Ensure the site consistently meets company requirements and relevant legislation covering quality, health and safety, environmental performance and people.
• Work collaboratively with the Technical Department, including the Research & Applications Manager, when required.
• Support business priorities by responding to operational requirements and contributing to projects assigned by the Board.

About You:

You’ll be a confident operational leader with experience managing manufacturing within a manufacturing environment, with previous experience as a Production Manager or similar. Ideally the successful candidate will hold a degree within a relevant topic, such as Process Engineering or Chemistry, although other qualifications / subjects will be considered.
