Based in the area of Burton-on-Trent, the hours of work are Monday to Thursday 6am – 2pm, Friday 6am – 1pm.

This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer vacancy offers a salary of £40,000, plus company pension matched to 10%, generous holiday allowance and overtime opportunities at x 1.5 and x 2, for those who want it, taking potential earnings to in excess of £50,000+.

Responsibility of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Responsible for the development of plant wide proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the optimum performance of the factory
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service Repairs, Reactive maintenance on Conveyors, Shafts, Bearings, Drives, Gearboxes, Pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics etc
  • Ensure optimum running capacity for the plant, keeping downtime to a minimum and working as part of a forward thinking dynamic engineering team

To Be Successful as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • You will need to hold the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC & NVQ Level 3, OR Apprentice trained etc in Mechanical Engineering
  • Direct production line Maintenance Engineering experience
  • Pre-Planned and reactive industrial production Maintenance experience
