The Mechanical Fitter Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll work on a wide range of bespoke builds – this is not repetitive production work. The role involves assembling and installing mechanical and hydraulic systems onto specialist vehicles and equipment within a modern engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter

  • Mechanical assembly and fitting of components
  • Installing hydraulic systems and some electrical components
  • Working from engineering drawings and schematics
  • Vehicle and equipment build and installation
  • MIG welding (training provided)
  • Maintaining high quality and safety standards
