We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a market-leading international manufacturing organisation based near Barnsley. This role offers upskilling, and personal development and is supported with an incredible benefits package with an ever growing and secure manufacturing group.

What’s on offer as a Maintenance Electrician

  • Salary of £48,200 per annum
  • Panama pattern of 12 hour shifts working a combination of days 6am – 6pm and nights 6pm- 6am (Every other weekend off)
  • Location – Barnsley
  • 25 days holidays, plus bank holidays in lieu and 3 days shutdown
  • 5% Employer and Minimum of 3% Employee

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Electrician:

  • Electrical diagnostic work on PLC systems
  • Implementing & supporting rapid breakdown fault finding & rectification.
  • Able to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
  • Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of complex machinery & ancillaries;
  • PLC’s / Controls SIEMENS
  • 3 phase electrical systems & operations
  • Initiating improvement in practices, Systems & procedures.
  • Ensuring that Engineering records are accurately maintained & presented in a timely manner.

Essential Qualifications & Experience of the Maintenance Electrician:

  • Electrical qualifications
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship.
  • Trouble shoot & repair equipment & systems which include Electrical, mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic & PLC.
  • 3 + years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Be able to carry out PPM on machinery.
  • Installation & commissioning of industrial machinery.
