Installation Electrician role working for a within engineering consultancy. Paying £65,000 – £75,000 annually with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday. This is a field-based role, with most of your time spent working on customer sites across the UK.

The company’s main facility is based near Dewsbury, but regular travel and overnight stays will be required depending on project location. Accommodation and relevant travel expenses are provided.

Package:

  • £23 per hour basic rate
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x (£34.50 per hour)
  • Expected to work approximately 55 hours per week
  • £65,000-£75,000 annual earning potential
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
  • 1:30pm finish on Fridays
  • Accommodation provided when working away
  • Travel expenses paid
  • UK-wide projects with Friday return home

Key Responsibilities of the Installation Electrician:

  • Electrical installation on industrial sites, factories, plants and construction projects
  • Install and terminate cables, containment, trunking and conduits
  • Connect motors, pumps, valves and other electrical equipment
  • Install control panels, junction boxes, isolators and switches
  • Read and work from electrical and engineering drawings
  • Test and fault-find electrical systems
  • Work alongside mechanical, fabrication and engineering teams
  • Follow RAMS, PPE requirements and relevant British Standards

The business is a leading UK engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke industrial projects. Projects are delivered across the chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, water and industrial manufacturing sectors.

Requirements for the Installation Electrician:

  • Qualified Electrician – CompEx preferred (£25 per hour), or 18th Edition / NVQ / ECS Gold Card equivalent
  • Experience within industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Good knowledge of British Electrical Standards
  • Ability to read electrical and construction drawings
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
