The successful Cell Leader will be easily able to commute to Huddersfield from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities Cell leader

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the Assembly area, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Manage, support, and motivate a team of 8-15 employees, acting as the first point of contact
  • Plan and organise workloads to meet production targets, ensuring clear priorities and sufficient work for each shift
  • Monitor and maintain quality, cost, and delivery performance in line with business objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement activities (5S, Kaizen) while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
  • Oversee team administration, including attendance, training plans, and maintaining skills matrices

Working Hours of the Cell leader

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flerx working policy
  • Additional hours may be required to meet business needs

Requirements of the Cell Leader

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with strong hands-on assembly experience
  • Previous team leadership or people management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement methods
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
