£17.50p/h DOE, Perm Role, Mon-Fri, OT at 1.5 up to 10hrs plus a week. Flexible Start/Finish Times, Weekly Pay, Clean Modern Workshop, Free Onsite Parking.

This is a hands-on MIG Welder Fabricator role, working on a diverse range of engineering projects, including fabrication, refurbishment, structural modifications, and specialist equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities of the MIG Welder Fabricator

  • Fabrication and assembly of heavy vehicle components and bespoke body structures
  • MIG welding heavy plate materials up to 15mm in multiple positions
  • Alterations and modification work.
  • Refurbishment and repair of existing vehicle bodies
  • Checking dimensions and alignment throughout the build process
  • Supporting production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of finish

Skills & Experience Required for the MIG Welder Fabricator role

  • Strong MIG welder skills with experience in heavy fabrication
  • The ability to weld vertically
  • Experience working with commercial or heavy vehicles would be advantageous
  • Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised approach with good attention to detail
