Meet Megan Hepworth, our new Recruitment Resourcer

The Food & FMCG Team has grown!

E3 Recruitment is excited to welcome Megan Hepworth, as a Recruitment Resourcer, to our Food & FMCG team joining Tracie Norton (Business Partner), Dom Trowman (Recruitment Consultant) and Charlotte Norton (Recruitment Consultant). This will be Megan’s first role in an office environment and we’re excited to see her growth over the coming months. Below we find out more about her new role, why she wants to work within recruitment and more about Megan;

As Recruitment Resourcer what’s your role and responsibilities?

As a Recruitment Resourcer, my job is to reach out to candidates, on behalf of clients in the Food & FMCG industry, to try and find the perfect match for their role. I am responsible for every candidate from the first initial call discussing the role, to organising interviews and liaising with the client, and checking the candidate has turned up to the site. My role involves persistence, consistency and reliability and a willingness to work hard to ensure both the client and candidate are happy with the final outcome.

What did you do beforehand and where?

Before I worked at E3R I was a waitress for four years at a pub in Kirkheaton called The Blacksmiths Arms. I also set up my own business in 2019 doing Eyelash Extensions.

What attracted you to a career in recruitment?

I was initially attracted to a career in recruitment as it has great opportunities for progression within the business and to earn extra commission on top of a great salary. Recruitment attracted me as it sets you up with an excellent set of skills and allows you to form wider relationships and connections across the UK.

What do you like most about E3R?

What I like most about working at E3R is that everyone works together, whether it’s someone from a completely different department or your own, everyone offers a helping hand to each other, and the team are so friendly and welcoming. I also like how there is always something to do, I never find myself looking for work, I like to be kept on my toes with something new to do all the time and E3R definitely provides this.

How have your first two weeks been?

My first two weeks have flown by! It has been an intense and new experience for me coming into it with little experience in an office environment, but I have so far really enjoyed the role and look forward to what’s to come in my career at E3R.

What are you most looking forward to?

I am most looking forward to forming new relationships and eventually taking on my own clients, as well as building friendships with my fellow colleagues.

What is your main goal at E3R?

My main goal at E3 is to take on my own clients and be able to work on higher grade roles, which I hope to be able to achieve in 2022.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy going on walks and spending time with family and friends.

Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

A fun fact about myself would be that I was in the Create the Answer Adidas World Cup advert as an extra.

What would you say to anyone looking to start their career in recruitment?

I would say that recruitment is definitely a good career to get yourself into, there are so many opportunities presented within recruitment and there’s always something new to do.
