We are currently looking for a Technical First Line Manager to join one of our Food Manufacturing clients within the Grimsby area who have a highly reputable name within their specialised field.
Due to their continued growth, they are looking for a new Technical Manager to exercise diligence and independent judgement to promote transparent, values-led and professional management of the site. This will also include very important responsibilities throughout the Hygiene, Quality and Cost departments as well as owning various People Management and Development targets.

The shift pattern is Sunday – Thursday: 22:00 PM – 06:00 AM.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To exercise diligence and independent judgement to promote transparent, values-led and professional management of the site
  • To act as a professional and trusted advisor to the Quality Manager all Food safety and quality matters relating to the relevant site
  • To utilise organisational and local MI to identify and prioritise local production and packing agendas to achieve organisational financial and production goals; Ensure MI is consistent, honest, open, routinely reviewed
  • Other key responsibilities within Hygiene, Quality and Cost.

People Management & Development:

  • To own the Production manpower plan to ensure the delivery of required numbers in line with legislative and customer COP requirements
  • Feedback, coach and mentor new starters and promoted individuals
  • Feedback to the agency buddies on the performance of agency workers

Experience Required:

  • Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate HACCP (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of Production & Packing leadership experience; with exposure to FMCG environments, M&S audit standards and being ‘audit ready’
  • Experience of working in Chilled and frozen environments working with meals production, coated fish products and white fish processing products
  • Knowledge of fish products, Production & Packing products around coated processing
  • Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups
