Stores Operative, circa £25,00 Monday to Friday weekly pay, 28 days holiday, free parking, Overtime paid at a premium.

Manufacturing business in York requires a Store operative, this role has become available due to expansion and continued growth.

The ideal Stores Operative will come from a manufacturing, Engineering, or Warehouse / Distribution background. The Vacancy for the Store Operative offers flexible working hours Monday to Friday.

We would welcome people to apply that may have worked as a Warehouse operatives, Storeman, Parts, FLT Driver

The duties of the Stores Operative would be as follows:

  • Kitting parts and keeping the kits in order
  • Picking and Packing of goods ready for despatch
  • Updating stock
  • Booking goods in
  • Organising all incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Working on the company computer system

Key Attributes of the Stores Operative position :

  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing or stock control environment.
  • Knowledge of picking and allocation of parts.
  • FLT Licence (counterbalance)
  • Computer literate with various computer systems such as excel, MRP / ERP / Navision / SAP, Sage etc.
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively both as part of a team and independently.

What’s on offer for the successful Stores Operative

  • You can expect a rate of pay of £11 – £12 an hr
  • Overtime at 1.5
