Shifts: 12 hour days (rotating shift pattern)

Join the site services team at a leading food manufacturing business undergoing a period of significant investment with over £10m being spent to upgrade facilities and production areas,

The biggest site of its kind in Europe, they produce premium food products for major retail and foodservice customers.

Good transport links and easily commutable from Leeds, Selby, Normanton, York, and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As a key part of the engineering team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving site services and utilities across a busy, fast-paced food production site.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on site services and facilities.
  • Looking for long-term solutions to recurring problems and faults to improve reliability and performance and reduce costs.
  • Managing contracts coming to site, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site policies.
  • Collaborating with the wider engineering team as required to achieve objectives.

About You:

We’re looking for an apprentice trained, time served Engineer with the following background and skills:

  • Experience of working in a site services and utilities role in a manufacturing environment, with food, drink, or FMCG being an advantage.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of refrigeration, effluent systems, compressed air, HVAC, boilers and legionella management.
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Proactive approach, able to meet deadlines and prioritise a busy workload.
