Alongside a strong base salary, the successful Site Manager will receive a minimum of 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a discretionary double figure bonus, life assurance up to 4x base salary, pension option and private medical care. This permanent Site Manager position located in Widnes, working with a globally leading chemical manufacturer.

The company is a globally operating chemical manufacturer, which supplies raw materials to most industries. This particular location focuses on the development and manufacture of agricultural, crop protection and pest control chemicals. Due to the development of a new and very innovative product, they are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager with clear vision and direction to ensure teams are motivated, engaged and deliver high performance against operational targets.

Accountabilities of the Site Manager:

  • Ensure EHS and Quality compliance in all aspects of the business
  • Drive operational excellence across manufacturing and all processes with lean management concepts, automation, and the use of digitalization
  • Build and implement a strategy in line with the strategic objectives of the business
  • Meet the financial targets of the business, including capital and fixed costs, ensuring cost competitiveness and high operational and manufacturing efficiency
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global AP business functions, regulatory and supply chain

The successful Site Manager will hold a degree qualification in a Chemistry, Biology or an Engineering Discipline. This will then be supported by significant experience working in a manufacturing environment or in an environment with similar demands, such as food, pharmaceutical, fermentation or chemicals. The ideal Site Manager candidate will possess leadership and change management skills, particularly in leading and engaging people, developing high-performing teams and driving cultural change.
