Job Opportunity: Senior Estimator

Full time Permanent Position

Location: Halifax, UK (On-site)

Salary: £40,000- £50,000 DOE

We are currently working in partnership with a steelwork organisation based in the West Yorkshire region. Due to Continued expansion, we are currently seeking an Senior Estimator to join the business on a permanent basis.

In return our client is offering a starting salary in the region of £40,000 – £50,000 DOE plus benefits including, an enhanced contributory pension scheme and 33 days holidays including stats.

Key focus and Responsibility for the Senior Estimator

  • Liaise and negotiate with sub-traded to receive the most competitive prices.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client and consultant.
  • Accurately estimating the costs of project to ensure they are competitive.

Desired experiences for the Senior Estimator

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or an industry related qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in steelwork/Construction.
  • Building Construction knowledge
  • Implement the company’s standards & procedures.
  • Experience of working with an ISO 9001 Quality systems
