We are working with a leading engineering business to recruit an experienced Sales Manager with a strong track record of Business Development within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Working across a number of different sectors the successful Sales Manager will be responsible for Business Development alongside continuing to grow existing accounts selling a number of key products.
The Sales Manager will be working within a multi-brand business offering authorized repairs, new units and spare parts for a number of different brands and equipment.
Our clients products and spare parts are widely used in several industrial sectors such as machinery, trains, construction, automotive industry, truck & trailer and logistic sector, machine production and many others including all related parts, equipment, and accessories.
This is a great opportunity for a forward thinking Sales Manager to grow a company within an extremely buoyant market under their own initiative.
Required Experience:
- As sales manager you will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial, sales or business development role.
- Experience of developing and building strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Proven ability top focuses on the needs of the customer (internally and externally) and the challenges they face.
Sales Manager Key Duties:
- Comply with company health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Drive and promote the company mission, vision and values.
- Client visits to understand their challenges and identification of potential work opportunities for the company. Travel within the UK expected.
- Manage sales opportunities and customer database.
- Follow up on all enquiry/proposal submissions. Gain understanding of why proposals were successful or otherwise for company planning purposes.
- Prioritise, plan and organise client visits.
- Identify and agree enquiry / proposal KPI’s
Key Accountabilities
- Uphold company safety standards across day to day business.
- Achieving and exceeding corporate KPI’s for enquiry work
- Establish and maintain positive corporate client relationships ensuring customer commercial expectations are satisfied.
- Increase the level and amount of new customer activity and awareness of company expertise.
